Since returning to Braves General Store, we have covered country/blues, country, folk, and bluegrass. Time for some straight up rock ‘n roll.
After Tom Petty’s untimely death in 2017, his guitarist and lifelong friend Mike Campbell kept himself busy for several months touring with Fleetwood Mac in the wake of Lindsey Buckingham’s dismissal. Then he busied himself with his side band The Dirty Knobs, which he formed a decade and a half ago as an outlet for his creativity when not recording or touring with Petty and the Heartbreakers. With Campbell on lead guitar and vocals, Jason Sinay on rhythm guitar, Lance Morrison on bass, and Matt Laug on drums, the Dirty Knobs have played gigs around Los Angeles, but never toured or recorded an album. Until now. The Knobs have just released their debut album Wreckless Abandon and have hit the road for an American tour, with Chris Stapleton and Margo Price sharing the stage on many of the stops.
Like the Heartbreakers, the Dirty Knobs play a no frills, no nonsense version of rock ‘n roll that I’m sure you will enjoy.
