Friday Night with Guitar George: New Year’s 2015 – 2016 Edition

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that there is something about Eric Clapton’s guitar playing that always feels appropriate on New Year’s Eve. In last year’s New Year’s Eve Edition we featured Clapton performing with his hero J.J. Cale. In this year’s edition, Clapton is reunited with his bandmates from Cream: bassist/vocalist Jack Bruce and drummer extraordinaire Ginger Baker. Tonight’s video features the latter day Cream performing three of their best known songs from their Sixties heyday. Spoiler alert: the guitar playing is really, really #good.

Have this playing on your iPhone when you arrive at the New Year’s party and you will be the coolest person there. Unless @E11even745 is in attendance, in which case you will be only the second coolest person there.
